Pateo Newsletter No. 50
In the story about Adam in Paradise, we read that God punishes Adam’s wife after she ate from the forbidden tree. The King James Version from 1611 states (in Genesis 3:16):
Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
How do you read this verse? Whoever takes this literally, can only conclude that this is a clear case of divine sadism. And does a husband really has the divine right to be the boss of his wife? Or is the Word of God perhaps no longer of this time?
By the way, Adam and his wife were told in advance that they would die if they would eat from that one tree (as mentioned in Genesis 2:17), but this did not happen at all. So, now we also have a case of divine lying? Or what do you think?
Next, in the fourth chapter of Genesis, we read that God discriminates. Abel is being favored, causing Cain to kill this brother of him. As punishment for this fratricide, we read in the King James Version (in Genesis 4: 11-12):
And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
But what exactly does this mean? Have you ever contemplated about this? Was from that moment on the harvest of Cain’s vegetable garden halved? However, he could no longer have a garden, because he had to live without a fixed place of residence. In other words, what is this for a strange punishment? Does it make any sense to you?
The most severe divine punishment is no doubt the infamous Flood. We read in the King James Version (in Genesis 6:7):
And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth Me that I have made them.
Let us ponder a little about this. Is this punishment not rather strange? In the second book (Exodus), the sixth Commandment states that man must not murder, but God exterminated an entire planet, except for one lifeboat?! In other words: “Do not do as I do, but do as I say”?
In short, what kind of god is this? A sadist? A liar? A god who shows bad example? Without the New Testament, this god could never have become so popular, because we read in the Gospels about a loving God who is forgiving. They seem to be very different gods.
Yet the God of Genesis is exactly the same God as that of the Gospels. This statement has nothing to do with faith or religion, because every lie can be believed as the truth. No, I am not talking about believing here, but about Knowing! Do you want to Know the whole truth about that seemingly hard-hearted god from Genesis, then you need to take action. This time, this truth will not be served to you on a silver platter. No action simply means no revelation of this truth.
What kind of action? Well, if you do not to take a subscription to Wholly Scripture TV, then you can buy the book Genesis Decoded. If you want to order a hard copy instead of the ebook, then please contact me. And if you think that its price is too high, then make a counter proposal. Together, we will always come to an agreement, as my goal in life is not making lots of money. I just want you to show some appreciation for my work! If something is for free, then most people assume that it must be worthless. Many of my ebooks and videos are for free, and if you think that these are all worth nothing, then I can live with that. But the revelation of the treasures hidden in the first seven stories of the Book of Genesis is extremely valuable to me. To me, taking that for granted is out of the question. Furthermore, I guarantee you that ‘Genesis Decoded’ will completely change your view of God.
When using the word ‘spirit’ almost everyone means ‘mind’. However, the mind and the spirit are completely different. Furthermore, almost everything that is labeled under “spirituality” has nothing to do with the spirit, but instead everything with the soul. All this pseudo-spirituality should better be renamed as ‘souluality’. If you want to learn more about this fundamental confusion of these essential concepts, then watch episode 47 of Pateo TV:
Next, if you want to leave the land of confusion and start to know what the Spirit and the Soul truly are, then you should better become a student of Wholly Science.
