Walter Russell (1871 – 1963)

One of the most versatile people of the last century was undoubtedly Walter Russell. Walter Bowman Russell was born on May 19, 1871, in Boston, the capital of the U.S. state of Massachusetts. He became a leading painter, sculptor, architect, musician, and most of all a genuine scientist. Many regard him as the Leonardo da Vinci of our time. He also wrote some thirty books. After a previous marriage, resulting in two daughters, Dr. Walter Russell married with the 33 years younger Daisy Stebbing, born as Daisy Cook on November 6, 1904, in England. After her marriage to Walter, her name became Lao Russell. On their Swannanoa estate in the U.S. state of Virginia, they founded a private university. Walter died in 1963 on his 92nd birthday. Lao continued this university until she died on May 5, 1988. On the Internet, we find a 90 minutes documentary about these two special people (link).
