They Live

The movie “They Live” (of 94 minutes) is based on the short story “Eight O'Clock in the Morning”, written by Ray Nelson (1931). Directed by John Carpenter (1948), it was released in 1988.

Its story is about a drifter (played by Roderick George Toombs (born April 17, 1954), better known as Roddy Piper), who discovers a pair of remarkable sunglasses that allow him to see the hidden truth underlying our common reality.
